Biking tours

Biking tours on Sardinia, the way you like.

There's not just one way to go biking with Sardinia Cycling.

From full private to self guided, it's your choice. We love guiding group tours, talking about the places we visit, answering your questions with local insight, and fostering a magical group experience.

We worry about safety and logistics so you can focus on the riding experience. We do all this to ensure that at the end of your trip rather than saying "goodbye," you say "see you again soon."

We have little guided dates available.

That's because we directly operate all of our trips and you'll be 99% of the times in touch with a tour designer or a tour consultant that will later be your tour guide in Sardinia. You'll know your guide before the trip and - most important - we'll know you before we meet in person. We think this is a wonderful idea, don't you?

With the same approach we also enjoy offering self-guided tours that give you the ability to go at your own pace while still taking advantage of the information and local knowledge. Plus, if you go for a self guided tour, you can take advantage of our luggage delivery service and even share its cost with other travelers.

You get to choose your preferred type of bike and terrain. We offer options for road biking, e-road, gravel, mountain biking, e-mtb, and e-bike.

Activity levels

Don't let the road decide for you!

A crucial step in choosing a tour is assessing your fitness level, deciding how much effort you want to put in during your vacation, and considering how much of your stay you’d like to dedicate to activities beyond cycling.

Sardinia Cycling has developed a simplified difficulty rating system to help you find the tour that best suits you. This system links daily distance and elevation gain, assigning each tour a specific difficulty level.

At the same time, we provide detailed information to help you make an informed choice, because making the right choice is essential for the perfect tour experience. It's so important to us that you choose the right tour that, if you have any questions, we invite you to contact us to schedule a session with one of our tour designers, available by phone or video chat.

Recreational

Enjoying Italian Dolce Vita
This is the level of choice if you occasionally enjoy a bike ride and you want to match biking and visits. The tours in this category need you just prepare with some training prior to tour. Average distance of tours in this category is 60 kilometers/day and 1000m/day gain in elevation.

Enthusiast

Earning a good dinner... by the sweat of your brow
Enthusiast level cover longer distances and add some more spikes in the elevation charts and more time in the saddle. Ideal for you who ride more than occasionally and are not afraid of some tough climbing. Average distance is 70km and average daily elevation up to 1500m.

Challenge

You're into cycling, and want to put yourself on a test
You ride quite often and you're in search of challenging cycling, including some good meters up. Distances are above 90km and average elevation above 1600m/day. The lower limit might look low, but remember that hot weather and (often) wind make a tough ride tougher.

Our hotels

Not just a place to stay

At SardiniaCycling, hotels are more than just a place to sleep. How do we select them? In areas with a wide range of options, we choose the best balance between location and services tailored to cyclists.

We prioritize four-star accommodations but can arrange upgrades upon request. In smaller towns, we select the very best available.

Our philosophy is that hotels should enhance the theme of the tour or the specific day, offering unique experiences. Some are historic farmhouses, providing authentic glimpses of Sardinian life and the unforgettable flavors of homemade local dishes. All hotels are carefully selected and reviewed annually to ensure you enjoy the best possible experience during your journey with us.
